Medical Records and Health Information Technician

Students completing the Medical Records and Health Information Technician program will have the skills and knowledge to perform the financial functions (collections) in a health care facility. The students also have a knowledge of back office clinical skills to allow them to assist those personnel and to become employed as hospital ward clerks, health unit coordinators, insurance coders, medical billing clerks, insurance billing clerks, or hospital admissions clerks.
